Transforming Hate in Youth Work 2026 – Online training (4 sessions)

April 16 @ 10:00 am - September 8 @ 1:00 pm IST

Do you see and hear hateful language and behaviour in your youth work setting? Do you wonder about the best ways to respond that will be transformative for the person causing the harm and keeps the targets of hate safe and supported?

Can it be hard to identify and name what you’ve observed as hateful: sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic, disablist, faith based hate etc.?

Focused on the youth worker, and their practice, this training course looks at self-awareness, and how to take a needs-based approach which tackles hate. It is designed to give participants the space and time to explore the training material in depth, to share practice with a core group of fellow learners, to try out the tools, and reflect on and embed practice.

This online training is an adaptation of our popular one day organisational training on “Transforming Hate”. What’s different about this format is:

    • – You can sign up as an individual rather than an organisation.
    • – The  format allows to go deeper on the content, linking theory with practice
    • – Has built in reflective spaces facilitating reflection between each session
